Officers Of Nican

  1. 6.1 The officers of Nican shall be -
    • The Chair;
    • The Vice Chair;
    • The Treasurer;
    • The Secretary;

    and shall be known as the Executive Committee.

  2. 6.2 The positions of Vice Chair and Secretary may be held by the same person.
  3. 6.3 Each Executive Committee member shall hold office for a term which commences with appointment at the Annual General Meeting and finishes at the close of the Annual General Meeting two years after.
    1. 6.3.1 the positions of Chair and Secretary, and Vice-Chair and Treasurer shall be elected in alternate years.
  4. 6.4 In the event the term of office to the Executive Committee not align with membership to the Board of Management, membership to the Board of Management will in all cases be the prerequisite to determining continuation as an Executive Committee member of Nican.
  5. 6.5 There is no limit to the number of terms a member of the Executive Committee can serve.
  6. 6.6 Appointment of Office Bearer positions are made by the full Board from members nominated from the Board at the Annual General Meeting.
  7. 6.7 Upon the agreement of a minimum of 66% of members of the Executive Committee, the Executive Committee may issue instructions to the Public Officer and the employees of Nican in matters of urgency connected with the management and the affairs of Nican during the intervals between meetings of the Board. Where any such instructions are issued, the Executive Committee shall report to the next meeting of the Board.
  8. 6.8 The Board may give the Executive Committee extra powers from time to time.
